Process
Embedded Systems Design From Start To Success requires well thought out processes to be implemented consistently. Paragon began documenting our successes and failures from the very beginning.
Standards
Our engineering processes are detailed in design standards for all phases of both the hardware and software design and implementation process. These standards are reviewed and updated as we complete projects. Paragon also has developed detailed check lists for every stage of the design process to ensure that valuable details are not lost.
MPT™
Every project at Paragon is controlled through a change control procedure and our issue tracking system, MPT™. Our change control process helps limit the introduction of creeping elegance, which often interferes with on time and on budget completion. Our use of the MPT™ system ensures that when changes are necessary or unforeseen issues occur, that they are properly addressed.
Engineer-in-a-Notebook™
The culmination of every project at Paragon is the delivery of the Engineer-in-a-Notebook™. This set of documents is the central repository for the complete design. The Engineer-in-a-Notebook™ provides our clients with a single place to turn to for all of the intellectual property associated with their design. This allows them to quickly and reliably manufacture their product, or implement changes as the product evolves.
Lessons Learned Log
Every Paragon employee contributes weekly to our “Lessons Learned Log” a compilation of our positive and negative experiences. The key lessons we have learned are displayed on our internal web site to ensure that we do not have to relearn these valuable insights. |
