Administrative
Bookkeeper |
Expectations: This is a part-time position that performs duties of an accounting nature, requiring good judgment. Needs to be an accurate, detail-oriented person with basic accounting knowledge. This organization operates in a “can do” environment and rewards team achievers. Additional responsibilities may be added as deemed appropriate by the organization.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the bookkeeper include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and basic financial reports. Duties may include analyzing accounting documents for accuracy, investigating questionable data, and taking corrective action when necessary.
Requirements: The Bookkeeper must be able to utilize software tools such as Intuit products Quickbooks, Outlook, Sales Logix and Microsoft Office. The candidate must have three to five years experience that includes knowledge of basic accounting policies.
Authorization to work for any company in the U.S. is REQUIRED.

Field
Software Engineer |
Prospective candidates must have a minimum of FOUR plus (4+) years of relevant experience and a BSEE,
BSEET, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent.
Expectations: The top candidates must be comfortable doing application code, firmware, and RTOS work, and be
able to read schematics. This organization requires engineers who can balance creativity with concrete budgets and
deadlines. Paragon provides a standardized structure for all development processes. Travel up to 50% will be involved
to support clients across the US.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of an embedded software engineer include software development, customer
communications, status reports, system debug, component specification and procurement, and detailed
documentation production. The embedded software engineer will support other engineers and management as
required by current job loading.
Tasks: The embedded software engineer will (as appropriate) write design documentation, including theory of
operation manuals, debug electronics software, and may operate electronics test equipment. The engineer will also
design software and firmware for embedded applications, communications and power on self-test in both C and
assembly language. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all work conforms to company standards,
measuring and reporting project status.
Requirements: Effectively utilize all internal (personnel, software, and procedures) and external resources (vendors
and service providers) to quickly and efficiently service the needs of our clients. Proficiency with embedded C
programming tools and Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of central office telecom is a plus.

Lead
Embedded System
Engineer |
Prospective candidates must have a minimum of FIVE plus (5+) years of relevant
experience and a BSEE, BSEET, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent.
Expectations: These are lead contributing engineer positions. Paragon Innovations, Inc.
combines both electronics hardware and software development of embedded electronic
devices. Top candidates are those who can balance creativity with concrete budgets and
deadlines. Paragon provides a standardized structure for all development processes. All projects
are implemented using these standardized processes.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of an embedded system engineer may include software or
electrons hardware development, customer communications, project management, status reports,
system debug, component specification and procurement, estimate task timelines, and detailed
documentation production. The embedded system engineer will support other engineers and
management as required by current job loading. Additional responsibilities may be added as
deemed appropriate by the organization.
Tasks: The embedded system engineer may create block diagrams, design electronics, schematic
capture, specify mechanical requirements, create procurement specifications, write design
documentation, including theory of operation manuals, procure components, debug electronics
software and/or hardware, and operate electronics test equipment. The engineer will also design
software and firmware including embedded applications, communications and power on self-test
in both C and assembly language. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all work
conforms to company standards, meeting project deadlines, measuring and reporting project
status, and supervision of outside service providers (e.g. PCB layout/Fabrication and PCB
Assembly).
Requirements: Proficiency with schematic capture tools, VHDL, embedded C programming tools,
electronics lab equipment, and Microsoft Office is required.
VIDEO experience a plus!
Small company or small group experience a major plus!

Engineering
Program
Manager |
Prospective candidates must have a minimum of FIVE (5) years of relevant
experience with a proven track record of successful product development in
electronics hardware, system software, or both. A BSEE, BSEET, BSCS,
BSCE or equivalent is also required.
Expectations: An Engineering Program Manager oversees and coordinates
all aspects of one or more product development projects. These projects are
comprised of electronic hardware, firmware, and software product
development performed at Paragon, and will also include development by
partners in areas such as custom chip design, mechanical/packaging design,
server-side software, and working with international and domestic
manufacturers simultaneously. Paragon projects are typically from 4 to 18
months in duration, with teams as small as 2 and as large as 15.
Responsibilities: This person is responsible for creating, maintaining, and
tracking the project activities, including both internal development and
dependencies and handoffs with external groups, both domestic and
international. (External groups include customers, vendors, and
development partners.) He or she will also provide primary project
communications to Paragon management, customers, and partners, in both
written and verbal form. Deliverables include management of key program
documents (e.g., requirements, design and test specifications), and program
schedules, status updates, and issues tracking and resolution.
Requirements: A Program Manager must have a firm grasp of project
lifecycle management, with a proven history of successful projects from
concept to production. The ability to quickly grasp key project concern areas
and to help set program priorities and trade-offs is essential. Program
Managers must have excellent communication skills in both business and
technical arenas. This person often leads discussions that ensure connecting
business goals with engineering realities. The trade-offs in scope, schedule,
and resources are central to this role.
The Program Manager position may require international travel.
Desirable skills: Familiarity with multi-cultural environments; C-level
management understanding and/or experience;
